Monstrous Burlesque returns to Belltown!

by Violet 31. January 2013 20:57

CopyrightThe month of March is a month with a reputation: It comes in like a lamb and goes out like a multi-headed beast that wants to devour the lamb, the children, and that little old lady who lives down the block because she can't out run it. Oh, it also likes to show off its sexy self.

Okay, maybe it's not quite like that but we're certainly bringing the sexy beasts to Belltown on March 9th.

Purple Devil Productions presents Monsters, Merkins, and Mayhem. It's an evening of burlesque and belly dance to show the month of March that we are not the lambs to be lead to the slaughter.

Night of the Living Ecdysiasts on December 22nd!

by Violet 10. December 2012 07:24

CopyrightMuch talk has gone around about how thing will end. The planets come into alignment. Haley's Comet makes it's once every 75 year visit. And there were zombies because of it. Oh wait. That was that movie in 1984, wasn't it? Oh well, daddy would've gotten us uzis. There is that total global blackout that Nasa's predicting. That is so it, right? The magnetic poles of the planet will shift. The dwarf planet of Nibiru could collide with the Earth.

Nah, those are aren't it.

The zombie apocalypse is coming on December 21st, 2012.

On December 22nd, we're going to celebrate our survival the best way possible: By eating the flesh of the living!

And taking our clothes off to help the victims of frankenstorm Sandy have a better new year.

Thank you!

Oh my goddess! Last night was was School House Strip at the Rendezvous and the show was very good! If you missed the show you missed something wonderful.

Shows like last night are especially rewarding and it reaffirms to me why I love producing burlesque shows.

What do I love about producing burlesq? Many things!

I love the laughter from the audience when they see something. I love it when an audience member hoots and hollers because he or she sees something they like. I love the smiles on people's faces as they exit the theater. I love giving new performers a chance to spread their wings. I love it when those new wings take flight. I love it when seasoned pros show me and the audience what they've got. And love it when everything comes together and we've made magic.

Last night was magic and I am in awe of each my performers and my crew. You were all so very wonderful last night. Thank you for working your collective tushes off and making it amazing.

School House Strip wouldn't have been magical without the help of Beatrice Belladonna, Bolt Action, Boom Boom L'Roux, Coquette LaRouge, Sir Eddie Van Glam, Eva Harlowe, Ginger Julep, Katana Bellydance, Katie Lebear, Lila Dread, Lily Cohen-Moore, Lillith von Fraumench, Sailor St. Claire, Scarlett O'Hairdye, Solange Corbeau, Sue Mohn, and Tipsy Conqubine.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for the love, the laughs, and how effortlessly you made being awesome look.

School House Strip is just a week away!

A noun is a person, a place, or a thing

It's a night of gangsters and g-men, femme fatales and girl fridays! We'll be bringing you some live music, some fantastic belly dancers, and some amazing burlesque performers from around the Pugest Sound!

I'll be bringing a whole new routine to the stage and I'll be joined by Beatrice Belladonna, Lowa De Boom Boom, Morgan LaMay, Noir Troi, Olatsa Assin, and Miss Vixen Valentine.

We couldn't do this alone, so we'll be getting by with a little help from our friends, Katie Kat and Tipsy Concubine.

And don't worry, I didn't forget anyone. I was just saving the best for last.

Who is our guide through the speak easies dark alleyways for the evening? None other than the utterly fabulous Miss Diva Le Déviant!

But do you know what will make this amazing show even more amazing? Having you there to share it with us!

I'll see you in the audience on the 14th, won't I?
